Nightmares

....And I dreamt I was in a strange city. A massive uber city, bounded by cliffs and there is chaos. People are running thru the streets, there are geysers erupting, steam uprushing from the street vents, everywhere the clash of metal structures giving way and falling.

My hair is falling into my eyes, I cannot see, a chasm is opening, and the city is sliding into the ocean.
There is a ferry..it is receding, pulling away from the dock in the distance, and I am screaming..You don't understand, I have to be on that.
to the wall of men in flame retardant suits and gasmasks who are holding me back as I throw myself on them.

One is looking straight into my eyes from his mask, he is bleeding compassion thru the iris as I am clawing against his body to make it on board..

I woke covered in sweat, my heart beating out of my chest, wild.

And in my ears, this. Everywhere. Everywhere.

Apocalyptic, cannibal. I.

A nightmare. Yes.
